Aisha Henry practices in the areas of insurance, and litigation.

Ms. Henry’s practice focuses on complex insurance coverage matters and civil litigation.  For over five years, Ms. Henry has advised and represented London Market insurers on a number of significant insurance issues, including asbestos and environmental claims.  On behalf of London Market insurers, Ms. Henry recently tried an environmental coverage case in New Jersey state court, obtaining a reduction of over four million dollars to the insured’s claim.

In addition to her insurance practice, Ms. Henry counsels on a variety of cases involving claims of negligence, fraud and breach of contract.  Ms. Henry litigates cases in both state and federal court, at the trial and appellate levels.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Henry was an associate at the Washington D.C. office of an internationally known law firm where she successfully tried a multi-day jury trial, obtaining an award of compensatory and punitive damages against a landlord who engaged in “self-help” eviction.

During college she was a member of the University of Maryland’s National Championship Mock Trial Team and was recognized for her oral advocacy skills.  Ms. Henry serves as an instructor at the University of Maryland, where she lectures on trial technique and the rules of evidence and coaches the University of Maryland's Mock Trial Team.  In 2008, Ms. Henry coached the University of Maryland’s trial team to an unprecedented fifth National Championship, joining a select few American Mock Trial Association participants to win a National Championship as both a student and a coach.
